Products / TV Bias Lighting
A quieter glow. A thoughtful finishing touch.
MediaLight adds accurate neutral-white light behind the screen. It’s bias lighting for your viewing setup, rather than changing-color effects around the room.

Same gray. A different impression.
Look at the horizontal bar. It is the same shade of gray from end to end, even though the changing background can make it appear lighter or darker.
That is the idea behind perceived contrast: the light around your screen affects how the picture looks to your eyes. A subtle, neutral-white glow can help blacks appear deeper without changing the TV’s physical contrast ratio.

Choose the strip around your screen.
MediaLight Mk2 v2 Flex is a neutral-white strip system. The right length depends on your screen dimensions and whether the installation follows three or four sides.
We’ll help choose a suitable kit and route, with an even glow reflected from the wall behind the TV.
The 5m kit is shown as an example, not a universal recommendation. Wall color, mounting depth and the TV’s back shape affect the result.

Plan placement, power and control.
The strip sits behind the display with its light directed toward the wall. Keep the glow subtle rather than distracting. Where the back of the TV has a raised housing, leave a small air gap rather than following its contours. Position the strip at a 45-degree angle across that transition so the LEDs continue directing light toward the wall instead of sideways or upward.
Mk2 v2 uses 5V USB power. We’ll check the suitable power source and how you want to adjust brightness; TV USB-port behavior can vary.
MediaLight is not decorative RGB or screen-color-matching lighting. We’ll confirm the power and control arrangement for the chosen kit.
Choose your lighting layout
Three-side layout
Can suit a screen close to furniture where a bottom-edge glow is less useful. Measure the actual route.
Four-side layout
Can create a glow around a screen with open wall space on every side. Choose length and position around that layout.
A little planning goes a long way.
Send a photo of your TV and wall, the screen size and how it’s mounted. We’ll recommend the lighting layout and confirm strip length, power and brightness control in your quote.
